[Fully Automatic Installation / FAI] and Slackware...

Hi all,

Today, I just read an article about 'FAI' ( http://fai-project.org/ ). And it seems it just correspond to something I'd like to have to help deployment of Slack in our business, reducing sarcasm of Losedows and Debian addicts . But it seems it's a bit "furry" if I could say, and have a 'bend' toward debian as I understood it was primarily developed with/for debian.

Anyway, I wanted to know if any of you have some experience with the beast, and if it worth the diving, if there are some pitfalls using Slackware or things like that. For what I've read and understood, it's seems completely compatible and I feel like it can be a bit of effort but nothing deadly.

Thanks all

Garry.

Never heard of it before. No reason however that an installation of any distro couldn't be scripted for multiple instance installs.

Thanks NyteOwl...

In fact, after more reading, it could support Slackware as a "system to install", but it looks like it's very debian centric for the server and deployment side... So for now I'm back to doing a custom tarzan-style, homebrew script cluster...

Cheers

Garry.
